Setup OpenVPN on Windows 10 / 11 with Pritunl

Download OpenVPN configs

  • Step 1. Go to the user dashboard and select OpenVPN config files in package configuration. Then click Download and save configs archive to the Downloads folder.
  • Step 2. Go to the Downloads folder, right click the downloaded configs archive and select Extract All...
  • Step 3. Click Extract.

How to install Pritunl app

  • Step 1. Download, save Pritunl installer to the Downloads folder and double click Pritunl installer.
  • Step 2. Select I accept the agreement, then click Next.
  • Step 3. Click Next.
  • Step 4. Click Next.
  • Step 5. Click Install.
  • Step 6. Click Finish.

How to import OpenVPN configs

  • Step 1. Launch Pritunl app from the Desktop screen.
  • Step 2. Click Import.
  • Step 3. Click Browse.
  • Step 4. Go to the Downloads folder, select desired config file and click Open.NB! We recommend using TCP connection, if it is stable. Otherwise, use UDP.
  • Step 5. Click Import.

How to connect to OpenVPN

  • Step 1. Launch Pritunl app from the Desktop screen.
  • Step 2. Click Connect.
  • Step 3. You will see the following screen after the VPN connection is established. It is now safe to surf the web!

How to disconnect from OpenVPN

  • Step 1. Launch Pritunl app from the Desktop screen.
  • Step 2. Click Disconnect.
